OUR STORY
Couple’s Names:
David & Joanne
Wedding date:
24th September 2021
Our engagement story:
We got engaged during the 2020 Christmas lockdown at home, in our kitchen listening to Eric Clapton’s “ We’re All The Way”.
Our love story:
Two friends who found love provided support for one another through difficult times.
FASHION NOTES
Bride's wedding dress:
I chose the Monique top and Anika Skirt.
What it means to be a Catherine Deane Bride:
Individual and empowered!
Falling in love with my Catherine Deane gown:
Our wedding was intimate and surrounded by family members. I loved the cool vibe of the separates, and they fit my personality and style to a T. I purchased my dress during full lockdown online when no clothing shops were open.
Our wedding venue:
The Westbury Hotel Dublin City. 5-star art deco-style hotel.
Our wedding style:
Our wedding style was an intimate classic.
Our photographer:
The wonderful talented Emma Russell captured our whole day.
Our Honeymoon destination:
We plan to go to Italy in August 2022. A lot of Rome and Capri. My husband hasn’t spent a lot of time in Italy so I think it will be magical. Most of his travels have been from competing or lads trips so this will be a different way to travel for him.
Our most memorable moment:
We walked down the aisle together to Christy Moore’s “The Voyage”
Our funniest moment:
While taking our wedding pictures in Grafton Street, strangers were cheering and clapping wishing us well on our magical day.
