Journey through Seville
This July, in the peak of Summer, we travelled through Seville. As the sun beamed on the wondrous coloured walls, cooling shadows developed and stretched across to reveal the city’s stunning details. This captivating contrast accentuated the welcoming oasis and perfectly complemented the luxurious romance of our gowns and separates. Over three days, we explored the winding alleys and wide-open courtyards to create beautiful romantic images that were every bit as extraordinary as our new Autumn/Winter 2019 collection.
Our first day began on our way to the majestic Plaza de España, as we crossed a deep green moat on the Puente-de Aragon. The Nico Gown’s iridescent beading and flowing chiffon skirt harmonised elegantly with the bridge’s bold cobalt design. Stepping onto the plaza, the dotted tulle of the Nina Gown floated magnificently across the striking gold of the embellished pavilions, and the pattern of the dress’ graphic lace bodice mimicked the curves of their illustrations. Drifting along in a small gondola as the sun set, the golden rays created a dazzling effect on the emerald canal and danced across the Niki Gown’s lustrous layers of beading.
On the second day, we roamed the romantic rooms and divine courtyards of the Royal Alcàzar of Seville. In the Patio de las Munecas, the ethereal pearls of the Norah Top stood out among dimly lit, marbled arches, while the diaphanous tulle of the Noah Skirt was as delicate as the surrounding engravings. Moving through the Patio de las Doncellas, the exquisite turquoise pool added a heavenly backdrop to the smooth lines of the Nola Gown. While the burnt orange walls of the Patio de la Monteria complemented the clean white of the Marley Gown, where the fit and flare skirt imitated the shape of the marble columns.
The final day, we finished our photoshoot on the vibrant streets of the Barrio de Santa Cruz. Surrounded by vivid colours of the buildings, the Natania Gown’s geometric lace and ladder trim motif stood out against an unembellished, rich terracotta brick wall, and as we passed the Casa de Pilatos, the circular markings on the Nao Top played gorgeously against the octagonal decoration of the palace’s entrance. We ended under the spectacular white balconies of the Plaza del Cabildo, where gilded ornaments decorated the columns like the 3D floral appliqué of the Neva Gown.
