Celebrating moments rich in romance and nostalgia, our latest collection,
Royal Flush, exudes a sense of old-world glamour and opulence.
Showcasing exquisite shapes brought to life by way of ethereal fabrics, precious lace, and beaded details, each design is imbued with hints of opulence and nods to the vintage silhouettes that Catherine Deane has become known and loved for. We caught up with Catherine to discuss the highlights of designing the latest collection.
What inspired your latest Royal Flush bridal collection, and how do you stay in the loop of the current bridal fashion trends?
The Royal Flush collection is a beautiful blend of timeless elegance and modern sophistication. I took inspiration from my appreciation for vintage aesthetics and many years of sourcing antique laces and dresses in Portobello Market in London, and Marche Au Puces in Paris. By infusing these inspirational classics with a contemporary twist, the Royal Flush collection came to life. The nod to the Bridgerton series adds an extra layer of romance and nostalgia, making the collection feel both lavish and approachable. It’s like taking a step back in time while moving forward with fresh, innovative new bridal designs for our beautiful brides.
Describe your latest collection in three words.
Romantic, Nostalgic, Regal!
What design trends have emerged from this collection (silhouettes, materials, embellishments)?
Lace-up corseted silhouettes, all-over pearl embellished tulles, hand-draped silk tulle, and bold, Baroque laces.
Do you have a favorite gown or bridal separates pairing from this new collection? What about this piece makes it stand out to you?
I love the beautiful
Bae gown! The combination of pearls, a voluminous skirt, and bow tie straps creates a perfect blend of elegance and whimsy. It’s a sumptuous delight to wear, with its dramatic silhouette adding a touch of grandeur and playfulness on your wedding day. It’s the kind of wedding gown that is perfect for making unforgettable entrances and celebrating special moments.
What advice can you share with brides on the hunt for their dream wedding gown?
Starting with Pinterest is a fantastic idea! It’s a great tool for visualizing and organizing your inspiration. Collecting images of locations, dress silhouettes, your groom's and bridesmaid's colors, your choice of florals, and other elements can really help to shape a cohesive vision for your big day. It allows you to see patterns and themes emerge, which can be incredibly useful in refining your ideas and making decisions.
